To better connect us to the communities we serve, the NAACP Image Awards® will nationally recognize individuals who are members of NAACP Youth & College Units for the work they do to improve their community, educate the masses, identify the problems, and lead the revolution to fix it. No matter how small or grand the revolution, the values, and commitment of these individuals are essential to elevating the legacy and prominence of the mission of the NAACP, and these Youth Activists deserve to be celebrated.

These social justice warriors must be submitted by their NAACP Youth & College Unit for consideration for the NAACP Youth Activist of the Year Award. Submissions will be reviewed and judged by a selection committee made up of Image Awards Committee members and individuals recommended by the National Director of Youth & College.

Submissions will be judged on criteria on a scale of 1-10. Once selected, the NAACP Youth Activist of the Year will be notified and hosted by the NAACP Image Awards® to attend the ceremony with a guest. The winning recipient will be announced during the Pre-Awards Dinner, as well as walk the red carpet and attend the 55th NAACP Image Awards®.

ELIGIBILE APPLICANTS MUST BE 26 OR UNDER.  ALL OTHERS SHOULD APPLY FOR ACTIVIST OF THE YEAR.
